Mario Martinez Joins as Senior Engineering Manager

At mbue, we’re builders at heart, always looking for teammates who see challenges not as obstacles, but as opportunities to create something better. That’s why I’m excited to welcome Mario Martinez to our team as our newest Senior Engineering Manager.

Mario comes to mbue with a mechanical engineering degree from MIT and a passion for using machine learning and AI to solve real-world problems that matter. His career so far has been defined by exactly that: building systems that improve safety for heavy equipment operators, developing AI tools that support PTSD care, and engineering detection models to identify foodborne and airborne pathogens before they become a threat.

Beyond the code, Mario brings a deep appreciation for systems thinking and sustainable practices. He’s served on California’s Technical Advisory Committee, working on ways to advance wind energy while protecting native bird populations, and is an advisor to Unshackle AI, a nonprofit dedicated to helping survivors of abuse access critical resources.

Mario believes in hard work worth doing, and so do we. At mbue, he’ll help us push the boundaries of AI-driven risk management, streamline construction workflows, and make our industry smarter and safer.
